Team access for Grok and Grok Bot

On 26 August xAI expanded Grok Bot to every SuperGrok and Cursor plan. Grok Bot is now included with SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus, SuperGrok Heavy, Cursor Pro, Pro+, Ultra, and both Cursor Teams tiers - and it carries its own usage pool, separate from the Grok and Cursor plans. That means the $30 SuperGrok seat should now cover both Grok and Grok Bot, and the Cursor spend we were planning is probably unnecessary. All prices monthly.

  1. Confirm Grok Bot is live on our existing team seats - before spending anything
The announcement covers "SuperGrok" plans. xAI's own comparison grid still shows a dash against the Business column, and the team Licence panel is the authority, so check in-product on a SuperGrok team seat that Grok Bot actually appears.
  2. If it is - SuperGrok team seat, $30 per user per month, and nothing else
Grok on grok.com, the phone apps, Build, connectors, Imagine, and Grok Bot with its own separate usage. No Cursor seats needed.
  3. If it is not - Cursor Teams as the fallback
The announcement says both Cursor Teams tiers include Grok Bot, so Standard at $40 should be enough. Cursor's own checkout still attaches Grok Bot to Premium at $120, so confirm which applies before buying.
Likely $30 a head, all in.
Down from the $150 figure that applied before the 26 August change. Verify before committing - the vendor surfaces have not all caught up.

The vendor pages disagree, so verify in-product. xAI announced on 26 August that Grok Bot now ships with every SuperGrok and Cursor plan, and x.ai/pricing has already moved the Grok Bot tick down to the $30 SuperGrok tier. But the same grid still shows a dash against Business, and Cursor's checkout still puts Grok Bot on the Premium seat only. Marketing pages have been wrong in both directions through this - the licence panel in our own account and the checkout are what actually bind entitlement.

Where the usage figures come from. Cursor's pricing pages quote multipliers only. A Cursor staff member gave the dollar amounts on Cursor's own forum, 6 January 2026: "Teams ($40/user/mo) and Pro ($20/mo) include the same $20 of usage... Pro+ ($60/mo) includes $70 of usage, or Ultra ($200/mo) includes $400." The June 2026 Teams update then added a first-party model pool and said a Standard seat "now includes more total usage" at the same price, without publishing the new figure - so treat $20 as the floor for a Standard seat today, not the current number.

Checked 27 August 2026; every row links to its source. The public comparison grid at x.ai/pricing ticks Grok Bot on SuperGrok Plus and Heavy only and shows a dash against Business - but that grid describes the base Business tier. The business billing page at grok.com/plans/business sells SuperGrok, Plus and Heavy, and the Plus card leads with "Exclusive access to Grok Bot" - but the team Licences panel in our own Renue By Science workspace, checked 27 August 2026, offers only SuperGrok and SuperGrok Heavy, so Plus cannot be allocated to a team member. Seat prices and the 720p / 1080p video split are read from the business billing page. Eligible Cursor routes: x.ai/bot. Cursor seat minimum: "there must be at least one Admin and one paid member on the team at all times", with no minimum team size - cursor.com/docs. Usage quote: Cursor forum, 6 January 2026.
